Cut to size in two minutes
The mat is a roll, not a fixed shape. That is deliberate — the damage in your house is not a standard size either.
Measure the patch they already use
Cut slightly larger than the scratched area, never smaller. A mat covering half the patch just moves the problem to the exposed half.
Match the direction
If the damage runs up and down, fit the mat vertically. A cat that scratches a sofa arm will not switch to a flat pad on the floor.
Press, do not peel back
Clean and dry the surface, then press from the middle outwards. Test a small corner first on delicate fabric or fresh paint.
