What is in it

A route up a wall for a cat that likes to be high up.

A set of wall-mounted oak shelves with two jump posts and two hammocks. The supplier rates each assembled piece for up to 18 kg. Fix them in a stepped pattern up a wall to make a route for a cat that likes height. The hammocks have removable, washable coral-fleece covers.

You have to drill into the wall, so it suits owners, or tenants who have permission. The box includes expansion tubes, butterfly anchors, screws, a screwdriver and instructions. It ships from the supplier's UK warehouse, usually arriving in 3 to 7 working days.

How it works

  1. 1
    Plan the route

Mark steps about 30 to 40 cm apart, finishing at a hammock.

  2. 2
    Fix it properly

Use the supplied tubes and anchors to suit your wall type, or screw into a stud.

  3. 3
    Test it

Press down hard on every shelf before your cat uses it.

Works best if

  • Your cat climbs and perches
  • You live in a small flat and need height
  • You can drill into your wall

Skip it if

  • You rent and cannot drill
  • Your wall is crumbly plaster that cannot hold an anchor
  • Your cat is old and struggles with jumps

Questions about this one

Can I fit it to plasterboard?

The butterfly anchors are for that. Follow the instructions, and use a stud finder if you are unsure.

How big is the box?

About 44 × 21 × 16 cm.
