Some cats scratch the carpet rather than the sofa. A flat mat suits them.
A scratching mat made of sisal rope on an EVA base. It lies flat, so it suits cats that stretch out and rake at the floor rather than reach up a post. It fits beside a bed or at the foot of the sofa.
Sisal is hard-wearing and the surface will fray a little, which is normal. Replace the mat once it has worn flat.
How it works

Next to the sofa, a door or the bed.
- 2Scent it once
Rub a little catnip or silvervine on it to start.
- 3Replace when flat
When the rope is worn through, swap it for a new one.
